In the spirit of Michael Brecker’s contribution to jazz education and his undeniable influence on saxophonists worldwide, we are delighted to give away two amazing instruments. The first place winner of the Golden Keys contest will receive an Akai EWI 4000s that Michael performed on, donated by The Michael Brecker Estate. Conn-Selmer, Inc. has donated a Selmer Paris Spirit of Mark VI tenor saxophone (Reference 54, Model 74) as a second place prize. The contest is open to all woodwind players. High school, college and professional players suggested to enter.

1. How to Enter: To enter, visit the Heads Up website (http://www.headsup.com) and fill out an online Sweepstakes form with your name, phone number, email address, and zip code. Follow the on-screen directions to fill out the entry form. All online entries must be received by 11:59 P.M. Pacific Time on January 31, 2009. Only one entry per person or household.

Grand Prize Winner will receive:

One (1), Akai EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) 4000S. This was Michael Brecker’s actual EWI on which he performed and recorded. The instrument has been donated for this promotion on behalf of the Michael Brecker Estate. (Value $699.99)

2nd Place Winner will receive:

One (1) Selmer Paris Spirit of Mark VI Tenor Saxophone (Reference 54 Model 74). The instrument has been donated for this promotion on behalf of Conn-Selmer Inc. www.conn-selmer.com. (Value $8,260.00)

The odds of winning a prize are determined by the number of eligible entries. You only need to enter one time to be eligible to win.

2. Eligibility: Open only to all high school/college and professional woodwind players who perform on any woodwind instrument. Employees of Heads Up International, Telarc International Corp., Concord Music Group, Universal Music Distribution, Vine Dhalen & Company, Conn-Selmer, Inc. and each of their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, advertising, promotional agencies, agents and their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) are ineligible. Contest is open to residents of the domestic United States as well as all other countries. This is a global contest but sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law. Entrants must have a minimum of 1 year playing/performing experience on a woodwind instrument to be eligible to win.

3. General Conditions: By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Grand Prize Winner will be notified via email, phone, or mail on or about February 1, 2009. The prizewinner may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within seven (7) days following the date of attempted notification. Remember you must have a minimum of 1 year playing/performing experience on a woodwind instrument to be eligible for entry or to win. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize and/or prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants further grant to the Sponsor the right to use and publish their proper name, photos, and state or country of residence online, in print, and in any other media in connection with the Sweepstakes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use winner's name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless the Sponsor and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or any prize won.
